Since the very first Montreal Jazz Festival in 1980, where Ray Charles, Chick Corea, Gary Burton and Vic Vogel performed and only 12, 000 people were in attendance; this harmonic festival now attracts a growing 2.5 million patrons and too many performers to name. Each year, close to 3,000 artists from over 30 countries perform more than 600 concerts at this impressive event!

For almost two weeks, the beautiful city of Montreal transforms into an over-sized concert hall, where a various 350 shows are absolutely free! From noonday until midnight, music lovers from all walks of life can enjoy the sultry sounds of jazz. The Montreal Jazz Festival is now considered to be the Largest Jazz Festival in the world, but other genres such as blues, reggae and electronica, can be heard flowing through the streets of Quebec. With fine dining, festival shops, and the incomparable entertainment, the atmosphere is sure to create a memorable experience that you will never forget!
